The Business Podcasting Primer

A quick search for podcast on Wikipedia brings up this definition:
“A podcast is a digital media file, or a series of such files, that is distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and personal computers. A podcast is a specific type of webcast which, like ‘radio’, can mean either the content itself or the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster. The term “podcast” is a portmanteau of the name of Apple’s portable music player, the iPod, and broadcast[1]; a “pod” refers to the iPod, and “cast” to the idea of broadcasting.”

Put simply, a podcast is a way to publish regular audio and/or video files over the Internet. People can use iTunes (the most popular podcasting software) to subscribe to your podcast and automatically download it onto their iPods. You can add new audio/video files to your podcast using special podcasting software and iTunes will automatically copy the new files onto your iPod for you, keeping your copy of the podcast up to date. In this week’s newsletter I’m going to show you how we’ve just setup our first podcast. I’ll show you everything we did and I’ll also give you some reasons why you should consider setting up a podcast for your business.

A Sample Podcast If you have an iPod then open up iTunes and click the Advanced menu. Choose the “Subscribe to Podcast…” option and copy the URL below:

Social Networking for Network Marketers: the New Era

Can you guess what the big buzz is lately for network marketers? Social Networking! I will explain why but let’s take a quick look at how it started. At first there was MySpace and Facebook, two huge social networking giants. Network Marketers have joined them in order to market their opportunities through these sites. It is a great way for that extra free exposure even though the members of the networks aren’t entirely targeted.

However, the value of marketing on Myspace and Facebook is quickly dropping. This is due to the massive release of new and niche focused social networks. The fact is that this year alone I have seen an increasing number of professional social networks geared towards network marketers launching and becoming increasingly popular. To name a few: TalkMoola.com, Zenzuu, Friendswin, Yuwie, and Wowzza. A couple older ones are DirectMatches, AdLandPro, and even Ryze. Honestly I wouldn’t even be the least bit surprised to see a few more start-up this year – that is how much it is catching on! It is also obvious why they do become so popular among network marketers, because there is no better advertising than targeted advertising. Exposing your business opportunity, system, or product to other network marketers is simply the most effective thing to do. Once a network marketer joins you they already have had their foot in the door and are somewhat knowledgeable about the industry and can greatly help your business. However if a random person from MySpace sees and joins your business they are not nearly as valuable to you because they most likely have no idea what they are doing or what network marketing is even about.

Site Promotion to the Max

Site promotion is absolutely critical in creating a successful online presence. Without site promotion consider your personal web site or your ecommerce business dead in the water. If you are planning on building a new web site or have a poor performing web site it is extremely important to promote it properly in order to boost visitors and profits. Here are some tips on using site promotion to its fullest.

Site promotion may sound easy in theory but can be much more difficult when applying it to the ecommerce arena. Many people have wasted hundreds or even thousands of dollars advertising their products to the wrong audience or wasting money on promotion tools that show little return on investment. If you are serious about site promotion it is important to do some research and choose the various types of site promotion that will work for your web site.

Many web developers have grand expectations, they figure that if they build a great web site filled with lots of information and great products, thousands of web visitors will land on their web site automatically. This is absolutely not true! The old saying, “build it and they will come” does not apply to the internet. There are thousands, possibly millions of web sites that are very good quality but get very few visitors each month. If you want to succeed then site promotion is key.

Most people choose the following types of site promotion; paid advertising, reciprocal link exchange, viral marketing, opt in email specials and newsletters, and forum and blog posting.

Effective Email Marketing with Integrated Technology & Measuring for Business Success

Introduction

Many organizations are utilizing email marketing as part of their internet marketing strategy.  There are numerous email marketing services provided that support all types of businesses such as: Emma, ConstantContact, Aweber, etc.  In today’s environment, businesses are sending emails to promote products & services, cross-sell additional services, inform customers, and provide discount coupons.  The question is: Are businesses leveraging email marketing to support multi-tactical internet marketing campaigns?

In most cases, businesses are not leveraging email marketing to drive successful campaigns.  Marketers continue to see email marketing as a single tactic that has a limited impact on the goals of their campaigns.  The biggest example of this is the lack of integration between databases, website, and email marketing campaigns.   A local business owner has a limited amount of hours in a day and a limited amount of resources.  However, most of them do not streamline the lead acquisition process to work together.  If the systems were integrated, a similar scenario can be applied to large corporations that employ or utilize 3 different employees to do the job of a single email marketing professional. Simply put, the website form does populate to the database, and neither of these automatically feed to the email marketing system.  In general, this is a manual process that costs businesses time, resource, and money.

How can effective Email Marketing Help Your Business and Drive Results?

How you ask?  Well, let’s start with efficiency.  The ability to integrate your website with your business’s database, website forms, and email marketing services tools may cost additional money upfront; however, in the long-run you will not need to use manual processes that require more resources.  At DaBrian Marketing Group, we provide businesses will the tools to connect website forms to an email marketing system and eliminate the database itself.  In our client’s case, the email marketing system or email marketing service is the database.  In addition, you can use event or email triggers to confirm opt-in email addresses after receiving a contact submission form.  In less than 30 seconds, you have populated your form into a specific list with the email marketing tool, confirmed an opt-in email, and responded to a prospect with relevant content.

Playing Games Online: Now Enjoy Gaming in a New Way

Earlier there were only two kinds of games only indoor and outdoor games. Indoor games are referred to the games that were played under a roof like chess, carrom board, ludo and many other games. While outdoor games refer to the kind of games which are not played under a roof. These games require a big field or ground to play. Some of the examples of these outdoor games are football, cricket, baseball and many others. Although all the games are categorised into these two types only. But earlier things were not like that. It is because people wanted an all together different kind of gaming . Thus an acute need of it was strongly felt by the game lovers.

But with the advent of television and computer this need became more prominent. Many manufacturers realised this and jumped into this field in order to provide these people with an all together different kind of gaming. Due to their consistent efforts the dream took no time in turning into reality and with it the world saw a different kind of indoor gaming . This type of indoor gaming was restricted only to television and computers. This type of gaming swept the people of their feet and in no time their popularity touched sky. This gaming revolution also at the same time saw the emergence of these kind of gaming lovers. But since these gaming machines were very expensive hence they reached to a certain section of society which was rich and affluent. But as the time progressed so did the technology improved and this version of indoor gaming assumed a whole new shape all together. Now what the world is seeing is entirely different from what it was earlier. Today video games are considered to be a separate field all together.
